HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
And here we are once again as another month has gone by.
This month was kinda slow for Ryan and me. I guess things are slowing down for the two of us since school is coming
to an end for spring break.
This month we did go to our first hockey game. Ryan called
me up one afternoon to ask if I'd want to go with our friends John and Stephanie to a hockey game here in town. I thought
it sounded like a good time, so Ryan bought the tickets. The Dayton "Bombers" was the team we were cheering for. They didn't do so well, but we had a great
time. Never thought violence could be so much fun! lol
We have also made a few more friends while here who Ryan goes
to school with. Ryan and Melissa are also students at AFIT. Lately, we have hung out with them a few times.
We really like them.
This was me and
Ryan's third year to celebrate Valentine's day together. I have never been one that was all about Valentine's, so we
didn't really make any official days to celebrate. Also, we had just spent money for our birthdays and we were about
to spend more for our one year anniversary. So, this lil' middle holiday wasn't as important to the two of us. But,
in the end, we had a great time together.
Ryan woke me up
with a cappuccino in hand. He had gone to the nearby gas station to get it before heading off to school because
he knew I liked it. I didn't actually get out of bed until about an hour later, so it was nice and cold... but it was
still really sweet! :-)
Later that day,
Ryan arrived home early from school. I gave him the card I made him and he gave me a rose and a card he got me.
Then, we decided to go out to eat at the Olive Garden. Like I said, he really hadn't made any plans, so this was a last
minute thing. We quickly got ready and hurried to Olive Garden. We made it there before most of the crowd, although
we still had to wait for about 45 minutes. We went all out with the salad, breadsticks, pasta, and dessert. It
was delicious. I love Olive Garden.
After we got home,
Ryan said "Oh," and went back outside. I thought that he had forgotten his cell phone or something. He came back
in a few minutes later with the posterboard in his hands. (picture above) He got very creative and wrote out a paragraph,
while filling in the blanks with candy. I had no idea he made it. It was a very nice surprise.
Even though neither
one of us really hadn't planned on doing anything, we had a great together. Thanks Ryan! :-)
